Pleasure and vice-/ crime and retribution in Philipsburg St Maarten, our next Caribbean Island.
Philipsburg is also the commercial centre of this Dutch and French island with duty-free and sales-tax-free stores in the mile-long commercial district. More temptation…!
The twenties were seen in with style by the fabulous Funky Blue on Fred Olsen’s ship The Braemar.

Braemar’s next stop into the heart of Northern Spain was Aviles. With it’s colourful architecture and bustling medieval streets, vibrant bars, restaurants and tapas bars it was a delight to spend a day wandering around.
Today Fred Olsen’s Braemar made history as the longest ever ship to cruise through Greece’s Corinth Canal. The canal is 25 metres wide, with limestone walls and connects the Gulfs of Corinth and Saronic in the Aegean Sea.
I wasn’t lucky enough to be there. My partner was and he took these amazing pictures.
I spent an amazing summer hopping the Greek Islands as a seventeen year old. I am restless for a repeat journey.
