A sort of ‘cosy espionage’. Based on a true story and only one season. This is worth a watch.
Cold war drama following a Russian Jewish inventor and his family living in Britain. Starring Toby Stephens and Keeley Hawes (The Durrells).

I haven’t watched it yet but looking forward to this new screening of Tudor Henry VIII’s fated second wife.
An Inspector Calls by J.B. Priestley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Yesterday I was on a steam paddler down the Nile, this morning I was in the drawing room of a respectable industrial family in J B Priestly’s play An Inspector Calls – listening to what was a family dinner party, turn into a murder inquiry and a judgement on the families morals and behaviour- competently led by a certain Inspector…. The BBC Classic Radio Theatre production, starring Sam Alexander, Frances Barber, David Calder, Morven Christie and Toby Jones was the version I listened to – highly recommend it.

Would normally spend Good Friday listening to the Jesus Christ Super Star album. Twenty/twenty Good Friday I listened to Jeff Wayne’s 1978 original War of the Worlds.
This original version included Richard Burton as narrator (journalist). Also Justin Hayward, David Essex (artillery man), Phil Lynott (Parson Nathanial) Julie Covington (Beth).
Give it a go if you don’t know it. I was blown away!
