The Grand Hotel Eastbourne

The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne is a 5 star Victorian hotel Built in 1875. It has a bit of a musical history. Claude Debussy corrected proofs of La Mer in suite 200 and the Grand Hotel Orchestra broadcast live on the BBC from the Great Hall every Sunday night from 1924 to 1939. During the Second World War it closed and became a military headquarters.

It does a fabulous champagne afternoon tea in the Great Hall which we make our yearly spring treat.
