The Ocean at the End of the Lane

The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A clever entwining of fantasy and reality that took me back to being seven again-.reading under the covers when I should have been asleep; of being terrified by everyday objects in the dark.
This was written from a child’s perspective and half the time I couldn’t make up my mind whether I was reading a book intended for adults or children, then In the ‘A conversation with Neil Gaiman’ at the end he talks about not wanting to write this book for children, but for ‘…anyone who has ever been seven years old’ (p.244). I guess this kind of explains my confusion.
