Charlie Savage by Roddy Doyle

I have been a big Roddy Doyle fan since reading The Commitments in the late eighties.
Charlie Savage is irreverent, hilarious and the dad/ grandad that we all want. Not sure about husband- he might drive me mad, but I’d love to share a pint of Guinness with him down the local!
