Beachy Head lighthouse and the seals. The iconic lighthouse is on the first leg of the South Downs, which runs from Eastbourne to Winchester. Jimmy’s scooter ride in Quadrophenia was filmed on this stretch. The seals live in the Sovereign Harbour and can often be seen basking on the sandbanks when the tide is out. Caught them on my morning run. I love to travel and this is a short distance from my house. Travel isn’t always about long distance. I like to be a tourist in my home town.
