Caribbean legends- Wilbur and friends

We took an ATV around ST Kitts today and took a lunch break at Cockleshell bay. Talking to the locals we heard the tale of Wilbur the pig, a goat and a monkey. Wilbur was a big old boar who roamed freely around the beach in the daytime. A legend among locals and tourists alike he liked to snuffle through beach bags looking for food and equally enjoyably have a big old dump on the beach, raising shouts of dismay from sunbathers and having locals running for a spade! Very sadly Wilbur died in 2012. Then we have the naughty monkey. He also roamed freely in the day and his chief enjoyment was to steal sunglasses and wear them, rifle through beach bags and cause general chaos. He wouldn’t always want to come in at night, which is where the goat comes in. He was sent out to collect the monkey, who hitched a ride home. Unfortunately the monkey got too much and had to go into a sanctuary. He kept biting the goat and chasing children. The goat has also sadly now died! The legend of all live on.
